It's spring at the farm!

We're checking the peony beds and making sure everything is perfect for the season ahead. Spare roots are being planted, potted stock is prepped for sale, and fertilizer is going down.

Our major project this year is our sales shed (it's a shipping container!) If you were at the farm last year, you'll remember our cute little porch cooler. The cooler is still kicking, but we realized we needed more space for flowers and the dogs could use a break from watching and barking at each customer. Doug the black lab still feels bad about jumping up on a customer's nice white t-shirt (see guilty face below).

The plan for the shipping container is for it to be a self-contained peony shop with walk-in cooler, more point-of-sale options, and more room for peonies! And since you asked, this year we will also be offering potted peonies so you can enjoy your own plants at home. Here's a Chat GPT rendering:

The colour variation in this peony is just unbelievable. Buttery yellow with peachy pink mixed in - I was hooked as soon as I saw it. I've been able to secure a few roots for the farm and added a few to the online store for 2026 root options.
