Peony Season is On!!

After a cold and rainy spring, we're finally seeing some sunshine. Our field peonies are still growing but we've been lucky enough to get some beautiful Festiva Maxima peonies from a local grower. They're a gorgeous white flower with pink flecks on some of the petals and the scent is absolutely heavenly!!

Our new cooler is coming along well. We realized after last season that we needed a better cooler option that could hold more stock and give customers a dedicated area to shop. The shelves aren't ready yet, but you can still grab peony bouquets out of buckets.

If you're visiting the shop, it's at the front of the property next to the big grey building. The sign isn't ready yet, but just walk on in and you'll see the flowers. Soon we will have potted peonies out front for purchase as well and the landscaping around the shop is full of young peony plants.

Next on the agenda will be our irrigation system for the field peonies. Right now it's hard to think about more water after all the rain we've had but the young plants will need the support this year.
